Art and Museums

FAU's Performing Arts Center presents dazzling Broadway productions, orchestra and concert productions. Shakespeare's "Twelfth Night," "Talking Pictures" and "Art" are some of the productions to look for this season. Concerts include The Ratz Jazz Quintet and the FAU Chamber Singers.

The Lynn University Conservatory of Music presents professional quality classical music performed by a highly select group of the most gifted student-musicians from around the world under the tutelage of eminent faculty such as trumpeteer Marc Reese, pianist Roberta Rust, violinist Elmar Oliveira, oboist Joseph Robinson and flutist Renee Siebert. Sol Children Theatre offers a full season of plays, musicals, concerts and unique theatre series. Also offered are theatre and musical theatre classes for children aged 3 years and older, along with a performing arts summer camp in partnership with Olympic Heights High School.

The Burt Reynolds Museum is filled with items from some of Hollywood's greatest actors as well as a substantial collection of sports and western memorabilia. Jupiter Lighthouse is part of the federally designated, Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse Outstanding Natural Area and offers tours of the 1860 lighthouse. The Museum's exhibit, "Five Thousand Years on the Loxahatchee," features Native American, Seminole, Maritime, Lighthouse, Pioneer and WWII history.

The Maltz Jupiter Theatre is a professional not-for-profit 554-seat regional theatre dedicated to the performing arts whose mission is to entertain, educate and inspire our community.

Art and Museums

The Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens is the historic home, artist's studio and rare palm gardens of the artist Ann Norton. Located on the Intracoastal Waterway in the heart of downtown West Palm Beach, the Gardens provide a rare look at the life of an artist and how she has chosen to share her passion. The 1.7 acre gardens contains over 300 species of rare palms and native plantings. The New York Times lists it as a "must-see" when visiting Palm Beach.

When it was completed in 1902, the New York Herald proclaimed that Whitehall, Henry Flagler's home in Palm Beach, was "more wonderful than any palace in Europe, grander and more magnificent than any other private dwelling in the world." Flagler built this grand expression of the Gilded Age as Florida's first museum in just 18 months. Today, the Flagler Museum is a National Historic Landmark offering visitors incredible architecture, exhibits and unique programs.

The Richard and Pat Johnson Palm Beach County History Museum includes exhibit space reflecting the influence of the many cultures in Palm Beach County's diverse history. The 3,500-square-foot museum is operated 10am - 5pm Tuesdays through Saturdays by the Historical Society of Palm Beach County. Admission is free.
