Casa Grandview Historic Inn Policy and Rental Agreement
Guests of the Inn enjoy an inclusive prepared to order, three course breakfast, daily room refresh, complimentary beverages and snacks, parking for one vehicle, business class high speed Wi-Fi, and more (please find under Amenities). Inn guests enjoy private en suite baths, and use of South Pool area.
Bed and Breakfast Inn Deposits
Reservations are guaranteed with an advance credit card deposit of 50% of reservation cost and taxes. Balance due on arrival at the B & B. Major credit cards accepted.
Deposit cannot be paid with a Gift Card other than one issued by Casa Grandview (Please Reserve at 561.655.8932). Please see links for Select Registry and BedandBreakfast.com Gift Card Redemption Policy. Paying your balance with a Gift Card? Please let us know, so we may note your reservation. Gift Cards may not be combined with other discounts or promotions.
Inn Cancellation Details
If plans change and you must cancel your reservation in our bed and breakfast, the reservation holder may cancel by email at least 14 (fourteen days) prior to arrival date. Deposit will be refunded less a $35.00 administrative fee. Reservation modification subject to a $35.00 fee.
In the event you must cancel reservations at our Inn with less than fourteen (14) days notice, or depart early, please understand we must ask you to take responsibility for your entire reservation. If we rebook your room(s), a full or partial refund may be made. If dates are not sold and balance is paid, a credit will be issued for a future stay within 12 months of reservation date. No refunds for early departure.
Rates/Policies are subject to change and vary during high impact periods and special events.
Casa Grandview Historic Vacation Rentals Policy and Rental Agreement
Cottages and Deco Suites are individually licensed private vacation accommodations offered weekly or monthly as self-catering accommodations. Based on availability, advance reservations for breakfast may be made at $20.00 per person, plus tax. Please contact the Inn at 561.655.8932 to pre-arrange.
Vacation Rental Deposit/Payment
Reservations are guaranteed with an advance credit card deposit of 50% of reservation cost and taxes. Please pay balance 30 days prior to arrival. Major credit cards and advance check payment accepted. Gift cards (other than Casa Grandview) may not be used as a reservation deposit. Please notify us if you plan to pay your balance with a Gift Card so we may note your reservation.
Vacation Rental Cancellation
Reservation holder may cancel Vacation Cottage or Art Deco Suite rental by email. Cancellation made outside of 30 days are subject to a fee. Cancellation within 30 days of arrival guest agrees remaining balance to be charged to credit card. If same dates sold, refund issued less a cancellation fee. If dates not sold, credit issued for future stay within 12 months of reservation with paid balance. Modifications/Cancellations subject to $35.00 fee. No refund on early departures.
Vacation Rental Details
Rates based on Vacation Rental maximum occupancy (occupancy for each rental noted on accommodation page). Maximum occupancy shall not be exceeded in accommodation.
Well behaved children are welcome in our vacation rentals (except Guest House). No additional fee per day for children 12 and under. Maximum occupancy cannot be exceeded.
Self-catering vacation cottages and art deco suites do not include housekeeping. Housekeeping service can be arranged through professional cleaning service ($60.00 per hour, 2 maids, 2 hour minimum. If double occupancy exceeded, or extraordinary cleaning necessary, guest agrees to pay exit cleaning fee of $125.00 with credit card provided for deposit.
Vacation accommodations are professionally cleaned and beds made with fresh linens changed prior to arrival. Most cottages offer washer/dryer. Deco suites can find wash and fold or dry cleaning service nearby: Jack Sheehan's Cleaners, 1510 Lake Avenue (two blocks) west at Howard Park. Linen change request is $20.00 per bed, please advance request for scheduling.
Accommodations are fully furnished and offer equipped kitchens. Complimentary Arrival Package includes: paper products, cleaning supplies, dish detergent, Gilchrist & Soames Thymes Collection (shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, bar soap, lotion), and other necessities such as shower caps, vanity kits, etc).
Guest agrees credit card and signature authorization will be kept on file for duration of stay in leiu of security deposit, and agrees to pay replacement fee for missing items, red wine or other damage to bedding, towels, flooring, furnishings, property or smoking in accommodation. Cottage guests, please do not use bleach on linens/towels and separate whites and colors. Inspection of accommodation conducted on departure. Guest agrees unreported damage or missing items will result in fee to credit card on file.
Check-In -- Please arrive between 3:00-6:00 p.m. Early or late arrivals must be prearranged prior to arrival date by email or telephone: 1.561.655.8932 or 561.313.9695. If you are delayed, we thank you in advance for calling so we can plan with you accordingly.
Check-Out -- Please depart prior to 11:00 a.m. Late check out may not be possible due to new guest arrival. If possible, a late check-out fee of $40.00 may be accessed up to 1:00 p.m. After 1:00 p.m., guest will be charged full nightly rate. We are more than happy to look after luggage, as needed.
Bicycles -- Please sign Release of Liability for daytime bicycle use. Bicycles are your responsibility. Bicycle helmets and locks provided. Loss of bicycle or equipment: $200 bicycle, $40 helmet, $20 bike lock loss charged to card on file. Replacement cost charged for damages missing parts. Insurance regulations prohibit bicycle use after dusk.
Visitors -- Visitors are welcome at Cottages and Suites but cannot park in Guest Parking at the Inn. On street parking is available on Georgia or Florida Avenue, New York or P Streets. Unauthorized overnight guests or photography will reflect a fee to the registered guest. To ensure confort and privacy of registered inn guests, please note only register guests permitted, unless prior arragements have been made. We're happy to arrange a site visit appointment.
TV, Alarm Clock, Safes -- We offer satellite or cable service), DVD player, CD/radio/alarm clock, iPod Docking Stations, or iPod Home clock radios. Select accommodations offer latptop safes. Penthouse and Mezzanine offer basic cable. Library offers DVD player and cable.
Wireless Access -- We offer complimentary high speed business class Wi-Fi.
Licensing & Safety -- City, County, and State Licensed bed and breakfast with sprinkler system, fire/strobe alarms, emergency lighting, and fire extinguishers. Separate, individually licensed and operated vacation rentals which include private cottages and deco suites offer smoke detectors, emergency lighting, and certified fire extinguishers. Owners assume no liability for accidents on property.
Maintenance & Repairs -- We strive to maintain accommodations on the same level we maintain our home. Please text or call to notify owner, Cheryl Grantham, of concerns at 561.313.9695. Repairs scheduled between 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Repairs reported after 4:00 p.m., may result in next day scheduled maintenance. Please do not make repairs on your own. Damage to property or equipment will result in a charge to credit card.
Neighborhood -- Situated in Grandview Heights Historic District. Please respect the quiet enjoyment of neighbors and guests. Noise Ordinance prohibits disturbances after 9:00 p.m.
Parking -- One complimentary guest parking space is provided at the bed and breakfast for each accommodation. Vacation rental guests may park on street or in designated driveway.
Pets -- Contact owner Cheryl Grantham at firstname.lastname@example.org, if you plan to travel with your "pooch". Advance arrangement only. Restrictions apply, proof of current pet license and flea protection needed. Fees: $125 one-time non-refundable weekly fee for pet sanitation. Not all accommodations are dog-friendly.
Smoking -- Casa Grandview is smoke free. No smoking inside the accommodation. Guest agrees to pay $350 fee billed to credit card provided at check-in, if smoking in accommodation is detected. Insurance regulations prohibit use of candles, tobacco, incense, torches, charcoal barbeques, and fireplaces. Smoking permitted outdoors. Please be considerate of other guests. Sand pots are provided throughout the property to extinguish cigarettes.
Early Arrival: $25.00, based on availability.
Late Departure: $40.00, based on availability.
Gas Grill and Propane Gas Tank: $25.00
Linen Change: $20.00 per bed
Optional Housekeeping: $60.00 hour, 2 maids, 2 hour minimum required by housekeeping service.

Pool Use-- Registered guests of the Inn may enjoy the South Heated Pool area.
Vacation Cottage/Deco Suites registered guests may enjoy the North Pool area. No Lifeguard on Duty. Release of Liability must be signed prior to use. As the reservation holder, children or other registered guests in your party on property are your responsibility. State/County safety law prohibits diving, jumping, running in or around pool. Pool gate to remain closed at all times. Registered guest agrees to Release of Libility, as part of this agreement.
Children of registered guests under age 16 to be accompanied by parent or guardian in or around pool. Pool closes at 9:00 p.m. GLASS prohibited in pool areas. Broken glass or equipment will result in charges to guest credit card. Please be considerate of other guests and return floats to rack and do not leave personal items in pool area.
Pool heated to 85 degrees. Please note, if temperature drops below 55 degrees, pool heating may not be guaranteed as heater must be turned off. Tampering with equipment or thermostat will result in a charge to the guest for repairs.
Taxes -- add 6.0% sales tax and 7.0% tourist tax (13%) to reservation cost or services.

Hurricane Season in Southeast Florida: Here are a few important links and resources as you prepare for a trip to South Florida during Hurricance Season. Casa Grandview will keep you posted on any emergency updates and procedures. Hurricane Season officially runs from June 1 through November 30. That doesn’t mean we can’t have a hurricane in any other month, but over 97% of tropical storms have occurred during this period. Historically, approximately half of the major hurricanes to make landfall in Southeast Florida have occurred in September, with the remainder split between August and October.
