Aesop's Tables Summer Art Installation

Kick off the summer with the debut of AESOP'S TABLES, 25 beautifully and ornately painted picnic tables by local artists that represent classic fables. The launch of West Palm's summer series during Clematis by Night will also feature musical performances by Replay, a high energy dance band, and Man in the Mirror, a showcase of the music of Michael Jackson. The FREE event on the West Palm Beach waterfront also includes plenty of kid's activities, food specials, pop-up activities, Glow FORE It mini golf and life-sized Human Foosball.
This summer, West Palm Beach celebrates and bonds our commUNITY. As part of our West Palm Beach “City of Kindness” pledge, residents and visitors are encouraged to disconnect from their cell phones, reconnect with friends and neighbors and make new BFF’s at the Aesop's Tables art installation in beautiful West Palm Beach. Summer in Paradise Visitors and residents will be transported into a colorful collection of classic tales during the City of West Palm Beach’s popular Summer in Paradise (S.I.P), a creative series of commUNITY events and offerings all summer long. New this year, guests are invited to sit back, relax and enjoy a whimsical art installation featuring classic fables, interactive story-telling activities for all ages and larger than life versions of their favorite games like human foosball on the West Palm Beach waterfront.
Additional events include BBQ, Brews & Blues, a mouth-watering barbecue and microbrew festival in the Historic Northwest, creative specials from downtown West Palm Beach restaurants and shops, the return of the Northwood Mango Heritage Festival and 4th on Flagler, South Florida’s largest free Independence Day event showcasing an amazing fireworks display over the Intracoastal Waterway.
Summer in Paradise offers plenty of fun and FREE activities including favorites in West Palm Beach like Screen on the Green, a movie theatre under the stars, Glow Fore It mini golf, a variety of waterfront activities as well as two rockin’ concert series: Clematis by Night and Sunday on the Waterfront . A Birthday in Paradise Celebration
If you're going to celebrate America's birthday, make it big, bold, and cut loose in style. 4th on Flagler, South Florida’s largest free Independence Day event, dazzles with a firework spectacle over the downtown West Palm Beach waterfront. Before the sky rockets set off, join in the street party. Listen to live music, try delicious foods, have cold drinks, and settle to a viewing spot along the seawall.
The City of West Palm Beach will celebrate the return of its popular Summer in Paradise (S.I.P) annual celebration beginning June 1 through August 31, 2017. This free, summer-long promotion will transport residents and visitors into a colorful collection of classic tales and treasured life-lessons along the waterfront. New elements include the debut of Aesop’s Tables, a whimsical art installation featuring 25 picnic tables painted to depict one of Aesop’s fables. A direct tie to Mayor Jeri Muoio’s pledge declaring West Palm Beach as a City of Kindness, the storybook setting provides an opportunity for all to connect, explore local art, share their own stories and enjoy family friendly activities on the West Palm Beach waterfront.
NEW Create your own story in StoryVille. Children can create their own life-size fairy tale using giant cut-outs of traditional storybook characters. Free activity is open daily from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on the waterfront.
Wednesdays and Fridays starting June 14-July 28

Fourth and fifth grade students are invited to create their own Aesop’s Fable at the Mandel Public Library! Participants will work together to write the script, rehearse and stage their original play. The final performances will take place on Friday, July 28. Sunday on the Waterfront pays tribute to musical legends this summer and is an ideal setting for good times and great entertainment. This monthly concert series is a perfect weekend outing and a fantastic way to relax and unwind with friends and family on a Sunday afternoon. 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. 3rd Sunday of each month at the Meyer Amphitheatre.
Screen on the Green transforms the West Palm Beach Waterfront into an outdoor theater where guests can enjoy family friendly films under the stars. Blankets and lawn chairs are recommended. 8:00 p.m. to 10: 00 p.m. 2nd Friday of each month, June – August 2017

At the Northwood Village Art Walk visitors can explore the artistic side of historic Northwood Village through guided walking tours of eclectic art galleries and other unique neighborhood shops. Registration is required and space is limited to 20 people per tour. “Teens Unite!” Aims to Bring Together Young Men, Women from Across City
WEST PALM BEACH, FLA. (June 20, 2017)—West Palm Beach teenagers can now add the Teens Unite! Summer Block Party Series to their list of wholesome and fun summer activities! The Teens Unite! Summer Block Party Series brings together teens from our City’s many neighborhoods to socialize and enjoy the summer in a positive environment. The series, which is free for young men and women ages 12-to-18, runs every Saturday night from 7pm-to-10pm through July 29. Teens can enjoy free food, a video game truck, DJ, basketball, talent shows, pool parties, and dance parties.
“The City of West Palm Beach is committed to making our community the best place in which to live and play for everyone—especially our youths,” said Kevin Jones, Coordinator of Community Initiatives in the Office of Mayor Jeri Muoio. “The Teens Unite! Summer Block Party Series is about uniting local teens and creating a positive environment for them to enjoy the summer!”
The series line-up includes block parties at the following locations:
