Baseball Bash Takes the Field at Roger Dean Stadium!

This year's Annual Spring Training event will be held on the main ball field at Roger Dean Stadium. Now called the Baseball Bash, attendees will be able to get autographs from Florida Marlins and St. Louis Cardinals players (6 - 7 p.m.) from the warning track, sit in the dugout and children will be able to run the bases. The Baseball Bash will be held on Thursday, February 25 at 6:00 p.m. at Roger Dean Stadium in Jupiter. Managers Tony LaRussa and Fredi Gonzalez will give their outlook for the upcoming season and introduce the players. There will also be a silent auction for an autographed team jersey from each team. In West Palm Beach, a traveler can stay the weekend at a bed-and-breakfast, a motel or a hotel but not at a licensed vacation rental, where a minimum stay of one week is required. But visitors can stay overnight at an unlicensed vacation rental.
That dichotomy between enforcement and regulation is half the problem facing Mayor Lois Frankel and the city commission as they establish a task force for the second time in four years to consider vacation rentals. Given the weakly recovering economy and continued rise in foreclosures, it makes sense for the city to accommodate property owners who want to maintain their homes to attract travelers.
